Alan Gerald Soble, aged 78, passed away in his home in Philadelphia, PA.
He was the son of the late William B. and Sylvia Soble, of Philadelphia.
He is survived by two sisters, two daughters, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a respected academic in the field of philosophy, with many years of teaching and publication. He was also dedicated to his hobbies of playing chess and the historical philately of Eastern Europe.
