Alice M. Bragin

Alice M. Bragin, 89, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was born and spent her life.

She was the loving wife of the late, Sergei Bragin for 42 years. Daughter of the late, Dennis and Eva Quinn (Evasko). Pre-deceased by her son, Thomas Dougherty. Alice is survived and dearly remembered by her children; Michael Dougherty, Denise Ruddy, Alice Smith and Lisa Bragin Shanefield. Survived by her brother, Dennis Quinn (Ethel), sister, Margaret "Peggy" Henes (Bob). Pre-deceased by her brother, George Quinn (Linda). She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer, Michael, Tommy, Taylor, Shaelyn, Kerri, Will, Brandon, Sydney, Briana, Heather, and Jara; a great-grandmother to Alyssa, Alanah, Alexa, Jace, Nathan, Natalie, Noelle, Nora, Thales, Caelen, Masen, Lennon, and Dalton; and a great-great grandmother to Jaden and Adrianna. Alice was loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

After completing elementary school, Alice attended St. Michael's Business School and earned her Business School Diploma. She was a proud and dedicated School Crossing Guard for twenty-one years.

She was known for her vibrant personality, being funny, generous, and full of life. Alice had a deep love for cooking, dancing, singing, and dining out. Her kitchen was often filled with delicious aromas and laughter as she prepared meals for those around her. She enjoyed playing lottery numbers and scratch-off tickets, always hoping to win so she could share it with everyone. Alice enjoyed volunteering for the Friendly Neighbors and Annual Events Committees in the Pennypack Community. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren sharing stories, songs, dances, and meals that created everlasting memories.

Her kindness and humor touched all who knew her and she will be deeply missed by many.

Please join Alice's family on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Alice's life. A service for Alice will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by refreshments and food, until 6:00pm. Her family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.
