Angela Smith

SMITH, Angela (née Anastasia Morgan), age 88. Formerly of Warminster, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2020 at home with her loving family present. She was born and educated in Dublin, Ireland, and emigrated in 1954 to Toronto, Canada. She married her Irish high school sweetheart in 1955 and raised two daughters in Toronto. The family moved to Syracuse, NY in 1970 because her GE engineer husband accepted a company transfer. She loved outdoor activities with her family including camping, swimming, skating, golfing and skiing. She was a 40-year member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club, Phoenix, NY, a 25-year member of the Syracuse Women’s District Golf Association and a 35-year member of Thunderbird Ski Club at Song Mountain, Tully, NY. She was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Elizabeth (née McGlynn) Morgan and several siblings. She is survived by Tommy, her loving husband of 65 years, daughters Carol Ann (John) Juneau, AK, June Marie (Dan) Richboro, PA, grandchildren Brandon and Courtney Wasserstrom, sisters Greta Trusty, Louisville, KY, Ann O’Gorman, Dublin, IRL, brother Noel (Maureen) Morgan, Dublin, IRL, niece Margaret Roberts, Dublin, IRL and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private.
