Anna May "Nancy" Widmeier

Anna May (Nancy) Widmeier, a devoted mother, beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025. She was 90 years old.

Born in Philadelphia on May 1, 1935, Nancy was the daughter of Matthew and Beatrice Foy. She grew up in Olney with her three sisters: Mary Jane, Bernadette and Josephine who all preceded her in death.

Nancy married Joseph F. Widmeier, Sr., with whom she shared a devoted marriage until his passing in 1988. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. Nancy was a proud and loving mother to five sons: Joe (Linda), Matt, Bill, John (Melissa) and Tom (who preceded her in death) and two daughters: Kathleen Furphy (John) & Joanne Maldonado (Miguel).

To her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, Nancy was affectionately known as "Mom-Mom." Her home was always open, and her heart even more so - filled with love, laughter, Irish music, and the joy of being surrounded by her growing family.

Nancy enjoyed traveling; especially on pilgrimages. She loved spending time at her home in the Poconos, where she entertained countless friends and family. She enjoyed playing games & cards, going out with friends, and volunteering at Mother Pauline’s Thrift Shop. Nancy’s warm and outgoing nature endeared her to everyone she met.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, her deep faith, her boundless love for her family, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued.

Family and friends are invited to St. Joseph’s Church, 7631 Waters Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012 from 8:30-9:45 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to the Convent of Divine Love, 2212 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130.
