Anne "Nancy" (nee Daniels) Brown, 80, passed away fighting on Sunday, October 14, 2018. She was always stubborn that way, and we greatly admired her strength and determination in all things in life up to the very end.
She is survived by her children: Alison Brown Kauker (George); Francie Brown (Roger Nall);
Brandon Brown (Beth Brigino); and Jennifer Brown.
She was a devoted and fiercely ethical real estate agent, a calling she adored, and a wonderful grandmother who will be so missed by Sam, Rob and Nick. More than anything, she was the kind of mother few people are lucky enough to be born to.
Mom said a good mother should give her children roots and wings, and if she didn’t originate that sentiment she embodied it in every moment of our lives and at every turn in our roads. We always came home to her, and we always will.
The family wants to give a special thanks to her best friend and neighbor, Sue McNulty, her partner in crime and shopping. We’re sure our mom is hanging out in the great unknown with her sister, Denise, and brother, Tim,
most likely drinking tea in the kitchen and discussing politics -loudly and with verve, style and intimidating vocabularies.
We hope and pray that there really are “many mansions in our Father’s home,†because you can bet she’ll have signs on
their lawns by tomorrow.
Family and friends are invited to share stories about our mom on Friday October 19, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at St. Anselm Church 12670 Dunks Ferry Road Philadelphia PA 19154 followed by her memorial mass at 10:30 AM.
Godspeed, Mom. We all love you.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks anyone who’d like to memorialize Mom
somehow to please donate a new child’s winter coat to the charity of your
choice. Warm, happy children were her thing, and there’s nothing she
would have liked more.
