Anne M. Cosgrove

Anne Marie Cosgrove, age 81, passed peacefully in her sleep on April 11, 2024. Anne spent half of her childhood growing up in Atlantic City, and the second half in Delaware County where she graduated from West Catholic High School. Years later she met the love of life, Oliver, and settled down in Northeast Philadelphia where she started a family. Anne was an active member of St. Martin of Tours Parish as well as spending many years working with the Ladies AOH promoting their motto of friendship, unity and Christian charity.  

Anne was a loving mother and grandmother, and found the greatest happiness in spending time with her family. She loved shopping, going out to eat, or just sitting around in her house talking and laughing. When she would tell stories of growing up in Atlantic City, her eyes would always brighten as if she was reliving each moment with the retelling of the tales. 

Waiting for Anne at the doors to Heaven were her husband Oliver and her brother Jimmy. 

She is survived by her brother, Jack Devaney, sons, Hugh and Brian, daughters-in-law, Faith and Jenn, grandchildren, Christian Cosgrove, Marissa Sohl, Alyssa Cosgrove, Aiden Cosgrove and great-grandson, Ripp Cosgrove.

Please join the Cosgrove family on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Anne's life. A viewing for her will be from 6:00-7:00 pm with her service beginning at 7:00 pm and time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 9:00 pm. Anne's family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the evening.
