Anthony C. Volpe
Peacefully passed away on December 14, 2022 at home.
Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Marie A. née Schuchert and their eight children, DonnaMarie (Ronald) Blaszczyk, Anthony Volpe, Charles Volpe, JoAnn (John) McClay, James (Priska) Volpe, Richard Volpe, his beloved caretaker Joseph Volpe and Claire Volpe.
Known to his siblings as Diddie, pre deceased are James (Winifred) Volpe, Marie (Louis) Santeusanio, Anne (Joseph) Schuchert, Charles Volpe, survived by his loving sister Lucille Brodheim Golden (the late Matys Brodheim and the late Benjamin Golden) and sister-in-law Lillian Volpe also, survived by his seven grandchildren Anthony (Greta) Collins, Jonathan (Heather) Collins, Jillian Gormley, Brian Gormley, Jacob (Sandra) Jordan, Francis (Andrew) Aho, Angela (Mark) Kent and Sarah Volpe. Fifteen great grandchildren and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Formerly of Philadelphia, Haddonfield, NJ and currently resided in Mays Landing, NJ. Tony was a Korean War, Navy Veteran. He was employed as Director of Procurement for the Eastern Region of the US Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 1988.
He enjoyed playing cards with his neighbors in Philly and Postal Retirees and also going to the casinos.
His most heartfelt, enjoyable and valuable moments were spending time and being with his family.
A Receiving and Memorial Mass will be held in his honor on Tuesday the 27th of December at St Joseph the Worker Parish in Haddon Twp, NJ promptly 10 a.m. Interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
