Bernard A. Schroth

Bernard A. Schroth passed peacefully in his sleep and surrounded by his loving family on Saturday June 4^th 2022.

Devoted husband to Loretta (Griess). Beloved father of Denise (Pat), Susan, Ricky (Bridget), David (Dianne) and the late Jeffrey. Dearest PopPop to Andrew, Shannon (Russ) Shay, Justin, Kelli (Ryan) Butler, Ricky, Jeffrey (Megan), Kyle (Kayla), Brendan and Patrick. Also, Great PopPop to 9 boys and soon to be baby girl.

Butch(ie), as most knew him, served in the United Sated Navy 1962-1966; Oh...the stories he told. Carpentry was his trade and he even showed his boys a few things. If you didn’t do it his way, it was the wrong way. He loved spending time with his family. He was a great cook who enjoyed sharing recipes.  Butch especially loved to eat crabs and drink beer; although he did enjoy his Scotch and soda. His passing will leave a great void for all who knew and loved him.

Please join the Schroth family in celebrating our great husband, father and PopPop after 6:00 pm on Tuesday June 14^th 2022, at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Butch’s life. There will be be a service for Butch at 7:00 pm with time for  fellowship until 9:00 pm, where his family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
