Betty Jane Diluigi

Betty Jane DiLuigi of Downingtown gained her promotion to Heaven on January 13, 2023 after 95 mostly wonderful years . She shared 62 years of matrimony with the love of her life, Dominic “Mickey” DiLuigi, ‘til his passing in 2010.

 Born in West Chester in 1927, she was the daughter of Earl and Mary Marsh Miller of Thorndale. She was a graduate of Downingtown High School in 1944. Betty was a faithful member of St Joseph’s Church in Downingtown and a godly example for her three children: Bill DiLuigi, of Nashville, TN , Patti DiLuigi Burgess of Coatesville and Marlene DiLuigi Mattioni of Downingtown. Betty worked at Modern Cleaners and Downingtown High in the Seventies and Eighties.

 She liked mystery novels, the piano, the Jersey shore, her neighbors, backyard cookouts and a second dessert. She loved spending time with her grandchildren: Jewel Burgess of Coatesville, Brian Mattioni of Fishers, IN and Chris Mattioni of Drexel Hill. She also loved her great grandchildren: Aniya Anderson of Coatesville, Dominic Mattioni of Fishers, IN  and Nick and Max Mattioni of Drexel Hill . She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marlene DiLuigi Mattioni, in 1991.

 There will be a time of visitation and Mass on Friday, February 3 from 9:45 to 11 am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. We will also celebrate a life well loved on Saturday, February 4 from 11 am ’til 2:30 pm at Faith Alliance Church, 570 Fairview Road, Glenmoore, PA 19343.
