Beverly M. Savage passed away on June 24, 2024 at her Warminster home, with her family by her side. She was 95 years old and the wife to Edward “Doc” Savage for 73 wonderful years.
Born in Philadelphia in 1928 and raised in Kensington, Beverly was the daughter of the late Frank and Ellen MacMurray. Beverly proudly said she was both from and survived “K and A”.
Beverly was an independent, strong-willed woman, determined to overcome anything that was thrown her way in life. She loved life to the fullest, but her biggest love in life was her family. Beverly was the matriarch of the Savage family, and strived to be their female role model.
She was a very loving, caring wife, mother and eventually had a greater role in life as grandmom. That is where Beverly became very protective of her family and had nothing but the best intentions for them. She would support her family to achieve academic excellence, influencing them to the best of their abilities, with the sole goal for them to excel in life.
Doc and Beverly have owned a home in the Poconos for over 40 years where they became avid skiers. This home is where Beverly and her husband could find solitude and relaxation. But most of all could make beautiful lasting memories with their family as well. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Edward “Doc” Savage, her son, Christopher Savage, and daughter-in-law Denise Savage. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Taylor Dawson and Kristen Savage, great-granddaughter, Charlotte Dawson, and son-in law Christopher Dawson. Beverly was also looking forward to welcoming her second great grandchild who is on the way.
Please join the Savage family on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Beverly’s life. A Memorial service for her will begin at 7:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 9:00 pm. Beverly’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beverly’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (1-800-272-3900) or at their web address www.alz.org.
