Carole Eve Vaughan

On October 14th, 2023 our beloved mother left this life as we know it, to audition for the most important accordion gig of her life.  I am positive that she nailed that audition and is now having the time of her afterlife playing music and creating art. Carole Eve Vaughan (Collins) was a mother, a companion, an artist, a musician, an animal lover and advocate, a friend to many, and an enemy to none. Mom was always able to find the good in every person she met.

Mom was an amazing artist and musician. After graduating from Philadelphia College of Art in 1985, mom went on to have a career in graphic design for the local newspapers. Mom was an active member of the Artists of Yardley group and continued to take random art classes at Bucks County Community College all throughout her life. Mom was also well known on the streets of New Hope as the accordion playing lady collecting donations for the Cat's Bridge To Rescue. Not only did mom dedicate every weekend, that the weather was cooperative, to raising money to save the lives of countless cats by playing music for donations, she also played for parties, festivals, and always at family gatherings.

Mom is survived by her beloved companion and best friend of 31 years, Sharon (Sherry) Clinton, her three children; daughter Cheryl Vaughan-Booth and spouse Catherine Booth-Vaughan, son John Vaughan and spouse Andrea Buchan and granddaughter Olivia Vaughan, and son Ken Vaughan and spouse Cathy Miller-Vaughan.

Carole was the daughter of Kenneth and Eva Collins. Mom was predeceased by her only brother Richard Collins, sister-in-law Arlene Collins, and nephew Timothy Collins. Mom is now playing music at this very special family gathering of some of the people who were so very close to her heart.

Services for mom will be held 11am Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Lutheran Church of God's Love, 791 Newtown-Yardley Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. The family at God's Love was a very important part of mom's life and gave her strength and comfort.

To honor mom's love of animals we are asking that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the rescue that was so important to mom - The Cat's Bridge to Rescue. Donations can be made on their website catsbridge.org.

Please join us to celebrate mom at Romeo's Restaurant, 10 Schalks Crossing Rd., Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536, following the church service.
