Carter Daniel Kenney

We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Carter Daniel Kenney, 21, of the Somerton section of Philadelphia, PA on June 11, 2023.

Carter will be loved forever by his parents, George and Elizabeth, his sisters Taylor Krieg ( Carl), Paige Kealy (Brian), Devon (Adam McElroy) and his brother George III “Tripp” (Blaire Sweeney). He was predeceased by his sister Caroline Elizabeth Kenney. Carter is beloved by his three nephews and niece, by many aunts, uncles and cousins, and will also be dearly missed by his LaSalle College High School classmates, his Temple University KDR fraternity brothers and many other lifelong friends.

Carter simply loved his life and everyone in it. He graduated from St. Christopher Grade School where he participated in numerous CYO and Somerton Youth sports and activities. His most cherished years were his 4 years at LaSalle College High School where he participated in many service projects, played football, rowed crew, and played rugby. Beyond the many activities, Carter formed a lifelong bond with his LaSalle Brothers and thrived daily on the numerous friendships that nourished him. He had just completed his junior year at Temple University in the Fox Business School as a Supply Chain Major and was a member of the KDR fraternity. Carter was always proud to be Temple-Made.

The youngest of 6 children, Carter was kind, honest, social, hard-working and fun-loving. He valued good manners and had a smile and a unique appreciation for everyone he met. While his years were short, his family and friends will carry him everywhere they go forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19116 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, June 16^th and from 9:00 to 10:00 am Saturday, June 17^th followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.
