Charles Benjamin

Charles Benjamin, age 88 of Philadelphia PA, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 after a period of illness. In his final days, he was surrounded by the love of his family and was made comfortable through the compassionate support of his hospice team.

Born on April 4, 1937, in Greenwood, South Carolina, Charles was one of six children. He moved to Philadelphia, PA at the age of 21. He lived a long life marked by quiet strength, kindness, and devotion to family. He will be remembered by his gentle spirit, steady presence, and sense of humor.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janie Shuler, and his siblings. He is survived by his son, Darryl Benjamin, his loving sister, Corrye Anderson, as well as many family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Charles was a retired union worker who manufactured aircraft parts for over 25 years. He also had many hobbies but mostly loved deep sea fishing with his son. Charles was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved watching the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers play.

A gathering of family and friends was held at 1pm on October, 31, 2025 at 7350 State Road, Philadelphia PA 19136 to honor is memory.
