Cristina Artiles nació el 24 de julio de 1931 en Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Ella murió tranquilamente el viernes 28 de noviembre de 2025 rodeada de su familia.

Cristina se mudó a Filadelfia, Pensilvania, donde ella y su esposo criaron a su familia. Para ayudar a mantener el hogar dirigió con éxito un negocio de costura y una guardería de niños en su casa.

Cristina fue conocida por sus muchas habilidades incluyendo el diseño de ropa a medida para hombres, mujeres y niños.

Su ingenio y determinación eran evidentes incluso a la hora de negociar precios justos por los materiales. Esos eran los momentos en los que sus hijos se daban cuenta de lo mucho que había aprendido inglés y de lo poco que podían salirse con la suya.

Cristina decidió estudiar la Biblia y fue bautizada como Testigo de Jehová en 1965.

A pesar de su pequeña estatura, Cristina era grande en su fervor y generosidad. Apoyaba a los demás con amabilidad y ayuda práctica. Compartía las Buenas Nuevas con todo tipo de persona.

A Cristina le sobreviven sus hijos: Art J. (Lorraine) Artiles, Ana I. (Emanuel) Maldonado, Mirta A. Artiles, Daisy M. Artiles-Strekis (Vincent) y su nuera Anna R. Rivera-Artiles.

Sus nietos son Elvira C. Artiles, Lauren E. Artiles, E. Carlos R. Hunter (Geraldine), Natasha D. Pierre (Karl) y Cristian O. Hunter (Onnae)

Sus bisnietos son Amirah A. Armstrong, Alana C. R. Hunter, Ayva A. E. Hunter y Carlos R. Hunter.

También le sobreviven dos hermanas, Teresa Burleros y Betulia (Jesús) Medina, y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Le precedieron en la muerte su amado esposo Fausto T . Artiles y su hijo querido Carlos R. Artiles.


Cristina Artiles was born on July 24, 1931, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Cristina moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she and her husband raised their family. To help support the household, she successfully ran a sewing business and a daycare center out of her home.

Cristina was known for her many skills, including designing custom clothing for men, women, and children. Her resourcefulness and determination were evident even when negotiating fair prices for materials. These were the moments when her children realized how much English she had learned and how little they could get away with.

Cristina decided to study the Bible and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1965.

Despite her small stature, Cristina was great in her fervor and generosity. She supported others with kindness and practical help. She shared the Good News with all kinds of people. She was kind and non-judgmental.

All who knew her lovingly treasure the memories of conversations with Cristina at meetings, in the ministry, or during moments of fellowship. Many also recall favorite meals she lovingly prepared for them, confident that, in Jehovah’s time, those simple joys will be shared again in the beautiful future he promises.

Cristina is survived by her children: Art J. (Lorraine) Artiles, Ana I. (Emanuel) Maldonado, Mirta A. Artiles, Daisy M. Artiles- Strekis (Vincent), and her daughter-in-law, Anna R. Rivera-Artiles.

Her grandchildren are Elvira C. Artiles, Lauren E. Artiles, E. Carlos R. Hunter (Geraldine), Natasha D. Pierre (Karl), and Cristian O. Hunter (Onnae)

Her great-grandchildren are Amirah A. Armstrong, Alana C. R. Hunter, Ayva A. E. Hunter, and Carlos R. Hunter.

She is also survived by two sisters, Teresa Burleros and Betulia (Jesús) Medina, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fausto T . Artiles, and her dear son, Carlos R. Artiles.
