Cindy Roth, aged 68 went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2026 after a 5-year battle with FTD. She was born September 10, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA to her parents Jean Stephenson and Roger Slade. Cindy attended Bensalem High School and after marrying, dedicated her time to being a Homemaker.
Her family will remember her as the keystone who held everyone together. She was full of endless laughter and witty banter, bringing joy to everyone she knew. Her love of the ocean was evidenced by the beach themed decor in her home and collections of seashells and sea glass. Every summer and fall she looked forward to finding the best deals on beach house rentals for vacations and weekend getaways. The ocean was her place of peace and comfort.
To her children, Dennis and Billy, she was unconditionally loving. She took great pride and joy in raising and caring for her sons; they were the world to her. To her husband, Bill, she was his better half who supported him through all of life's difficulties.
Cindy was a caregiver by nature who went above and beyond her duty on many occasions for not just family members, but also friends during their time of need. She faithfully attended church at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia and participated at Ladies Bible Studies, prayer groups, and as a volunteer for Women’s ministry events. Her friends knew her as an avid reader, who was an eloquent speaker and writer, always sharing from her heart and her experiences. She was a loyal and faithful friend, caring and always willing to pray for people who are hurting. Her “ladies group” will remember her as the organizer for their ladies' Ocean City beach weekends, where she would have crafts and games ready for each day, along with shopping on Asbury Avenue, which she loved.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bill, and her son, Billy. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis, and her brother, Roger.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, March 28 (receiving line 9-10AM; service 10AM) at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia (13500 Philmont Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116).
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at www.theaftd.org.
