Dave Caesar, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1937 to the late Annabelle and the late Ernie Caesar, passed away at age 81 on October 25, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Dave graduated from West Catholic high school and served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and the United States Marine Corps Reserve for 2 years. Dave worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation administration for 35 years. He later joined DTC DUAT Flight Services as a Quality Associate until retiring in 2015.
In his younger days he enjoyed spending summer weekends racing a car he helped build and maintain with his sons serving as pit crew. In later days he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
Dave was the beloved husband of Nancy for 58 years. Devoted father of Stu, Vince (Elyse), Ed and Dana (Rick) Allen. Loving grandfather of Shannon, Brandon, Erica, Rebecca and Vincent, great-grandfather of Eddie. Dear brother of Mike (Ann) Caesar and Cyd Caesar. He was also survived by nephews Damon, Michael, Louis, Micah and his niece Lisa.
He was predeceased by his sister Catherine, his grandchild Kyle and his nephew Ernie.
David was also known as Pops and Pop-Pop and was a member of St. Anselm Church. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial gathering Saturday, November 3rd from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154 followed by his Memorial Mass at 11:00 A.M.
