David Jon Evans, 68, of Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his bed at home on September 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born on New Year’s Day 1958 in Philadelphia, David spent the majority of his life in the Feasterville-Trevose area. He built a long career as a chef, most recently working at PECO. In his later years he devoted himself to the care of his mother, Irene, during her final years—an act of quiet love and loyalty that defined him.
David was an avid sports fan who never missed a game when he could help it. He was a lifelong, passionate supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phillies, and Penn State football.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Daniel and Irene Evans; his sister Danielle Snyder and her husband Leonard; and his sister Denise Zoeller.
David is survived by his sons, Jonathan Evans and David McCoy and his husband Howard; his brothers, Daniel Evans and his wife Eileen, and Doug Evans and his wife Jane; and his nieces and nephews Stephen, Chris, Ashley Zoeller, Katherine Dempsey, Daniel Evans, and their families.
In keeping with David’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place with no funeral service. A family memorial and scattering of ashes will be held at a future date.
David will be remembered for his dedication to family, his love of Philadelphia sports, and the quiet strength with which he faced his final years.
