Deborah “Debbie” Mary Schwartz passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 27th, 2024 after a hard fought battle with Lung Cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Wanda Schwartz (Nee Garwacki) and her brothers Paul Schwartz (Rob), Jan Schwartz, and Joseph Schwartz (Nanette). Debbie is survived by her loving daughter Kira (Jason), her sisters Janet Schwartz (Ann) and Michele Ludwig (John), and many, many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Debbie was surround by so many people who loved her, even in her final days.
Debbie grew up in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Her parents raised her in the family businesses - crafting and pretzel making. Her creative side came through in crafting, where she spent many years working with her mother and sister Michele. In 1983, Debbie welcomed her daughter, Kira, to the world. She learned to divide her time and attention between work and caring for Kira. A few years after the family business closed, Debbie decided to go back to school for Occupational Therapy. She soon graduated from Temple University with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She truly enjoyed her new career! One of Debbie’s most dominant traits, immediately visible to anyone she met, was helping others. Working in the OT field allowed her compassionate side to shine bright. She moved to the Cape May area in the 2000’s. She enjoyed living and working in close proximity to the beach. Her new home allowed her to host many family gatherings and many weekend visitors. She loved to entertain! She also enjoyed spending time with her many pets over the years. Recently, she moved back North to live with a lifelong friend, after retiring from work. She spent her final years in Sellersville, PA.
