Dennis Leahy

“It’s with a heavy heart and deep remorse that we announce the passing of Dennis Leahy, originally from East Falls Philadelphia and has resided in the the far Northeast for approximately 20 years. Dennis was 65 years old and unfortunately passed on June 16th, 2026 at Aria Torresdale Hospital due to complications resulting from Stage 4 Cancer . Dennis will be greatly missed by his 2 sisters, Mary Ann Leahy (Ray)and Ruth Ann Whims(Don), his many nieces and nephews especially Michael Leahy (Ashley) and his great nieces and nephews especially Taylor Leahy and his “best buddy” Michael Leahy Jr. Dennis joins his late parents Francis and Ruth Leahy nee Davis and brothers Frank Leahy, James Leahy and Thomas Leahy in heaven.

Dennis graduated from Roman Catholic High school. He then went on to be an Optician at Duffy Brothers for many years, where he truly loved what he did. On his off time Dennis loved to garden, do at home projects, watch the Eagles and Phillies, and spend every moment he could with his best buddy Michael Jr. Dennis took great pride in many things and the most important to him was family and the “Leahy” name.

Please join Leahy family on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Dennis's life. A service for him will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by time for refreshments and food, until 9:00pm. Dennis's family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.

Interment will follow the next day, Friday June 26th, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken located at 2025 Old Gulph Rd. Villanova Pa. 19085.”
