Diana Louise Mills, 75, a resident of Lansdale PA and formerly of Hatboro PA, passed away suddenly on March 10, 2018 at Abington Hospital in Abington, PA.
She was born Diana Clementina Panza in Youngstown, Ohio on March 14, 1942 to Joseph and Gertrude (nee Andrews) Panza. She was a 1960 graduate of South High School. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Mills, whom she married May 25, 1992; a brother, Joseph D. Panza; her mother; her father; and an infant daughter, Holly Marie Murray.
She leaves behind her daughter, Lisa Murray Kern, her son-in-law Daniel Kern, and her three grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, and Evan Kern.
Diana enjoyed working and entered the workplace much earlier than was customary for women of her generation. She was employed full time for her entire adult life in various capacities such as administration, bookkeeping, and office management until her retirement in 2004.
Diana loved people and will be remembered as always having a ready smile for both new and old friends. She loved traveling and visited many places around the globe during her marriage to Bob, as well as several fun getaways with her dear friend, Dennie. Her favorite place in the world was next to any body of water, but she especially loved spending time in Ventnor, New Jersey.
When she wasn’t working or traveling, Diana enjoyed watching sports, and was especially fond of football. She was a lifelong fan of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She had a great affinity for animals, and will be deeply missed by her beloved cat, Jake.
Diana did not want a memorial service and prefers that all who knew her remember her in their own way, perhaps with a toast of a very dry martini “straight up.â€
In lieu of flowers, donations in Diana’s memory may be made to her favorite charities: Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or the ASPCA.
