Diane C. King

Diane C. King, daughter of the late James Fortune, Sr., and the late Johnanna Lee, was born June 21, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland. She married the late James E. King, Jr. From that union three children were born, Lisa. D. King, James E. King, III and Kenneth M. King.

Diane was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She worked for many years at St. Charles at Olde Court Apartment Building and Arden Courts – ProMedica Memory Care Community as a domestic engineer. Diane was loving and loved to spend time with her family. She was always available to assist her children, grandchildren, and anyone else with whatever they needed. She had many challenges in life and managed them with grace. She enjoyed watching crime shows, such as 911, Chicago PD and Chicago Fire, etc.

She leaves to mourn three children, Lisa D. King, James E. King, III (Endia) and Kenneth M. King. In addition, she leaves to mourn two granddaughters, Michelle Cephas and Kaisha King, six grandsons, Marvin Justis, Jr., James E. King, IV, Jamal King, Kenneth M. King, Jr., Kevin King, and Kenron King, six great-granddaughters, Tyshaana Oliver, Niya Askew, Rayonna White, Nevaeh Ockimey, Princess Cephas and Kahlighe Davis, six great grandsons, Kal'el King, Trevar A. Cephas, Jr., Major Powell, Jaileel Justis, Jason Justis, and Mega Johnson, four great great-granddaughters, Nilayah Hart, Xenovia Ockimey-Bumbray, Journie King and Jahlani King and 1 great great-grandson, Ameen Stephens. She also leaves to mourn her sister, Sonya Fortune. Her brother, James Fortune, Jr., Sister, Jeanette Fortune, granddaughter, Jonice N. Cephas, and grandson, Trevar A. Cephas, Sr., preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm. The repast immediately following service till 5:00 pm at Brooks-Clinton Center, 9990 Liberty Road Randallstown, MD 21133.
