Age: 83 of Bensalem, PA

Passed away peacefully on May 08, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Charles and Anna B. (Schmidt) Heaney. He is preceded in death by his son David Blaine, brothers Charles (Bud), George and Sister Mildred Smith.

Survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Karen A. (Costello); children Donald C., Linda Heaney-Hilferty, G. Scott Heaney (Renee) and David W., Step-children Jennifer Green-Villalba (Jose) and Richard J. Green (Margie). He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his Sister Jean Seltzer (Bill), Brothers Robert (Marie) and Larry Ted and Sister in law Marge Heaney. Don will be sadly missed by many including nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and Lifelong friend Tom Franco and his new “Furry” Best Friend, Storm.

Don was a U.S. Army Veteran from 1955-1957 having served in the 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles”.
After serving in the military, Don joined his father and brother at General Motors (Trenton NJ) for 36 years where he retired as a Senior Project Engineer in 1993.

During retirement he loved taking care of his home and prized lush green grass and landscaping. He also enjoyed cooking, baking and trying new recipes. He loved the game of Golf, having played for many years, was an avid Bowler and a fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, College football and basketball. Don was a graduate of Bensalem High School and a 50 year member of the Masons, Mt. Moriah Lodge #28, F&AM.

Relatives & Friends are invited to attend Don’s graveside service Friday, May 17th at 9:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA.
