Donald P. Kolessar

Donald P. Kolessar April 22, 1928 – July 3, 2022

Don Kolessar (94) passed away Sunday Morning, July 3^rd at Paul’s Run Retirement Community.  He will be missed by family and friends alike.

Don was born in Freeland Pa and grew up in Philadelphia where he went to Dobbins High School.  He was a corporal in the army during the Korean conflict.  Following his service, Don became a firefighter for the City of Philadelphia where he was employed for 22 years. Don also worked in facilities and maintenance at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry which later became Salus University.  He was employed there for over 30 years. 

Don loved fishing and being outdoors. His favorite place was the Delaware River.  Don also loved sports, especially soccer, Penn State Football, and the FLYERS.

A private Memorial Service will be held for immediate family only.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Paul’s Run Benevolent fund.
