Doris J. Owens
Doris J. Owens (nee Miller) 88 years old, passed away peacefully on May 21st, 2024. Doris was predeceased by her son, Richard and daughter, Beverly. She is survived by her children Terry (Donna), Thomas (Cathy), Jimmy (Brenda), Dana (Frank) and son-in- law John. Doris was a loving Mom-mom to her grandchildren: Jamie, T.J, Laura, Krista, Brittany, Kourtney, Brooke, Blaze, Mackenzie, Logan, Brynn, Finn and a proud GiGi to 11 cherished great-grandchildren.
Doris was predeceased by her parents Richard and Eurella Miller, as well as her 10 siblings.
Doris was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. She resided in Parkwood for most of her life and ended her journey in beautiful Cape May.
Her greatest joys were her family, whom she loved spending time with. One of her favorite past times was strutting along with her many friends at the Mummers summer concerts. Doris leaves us with special family traditions that will be lovingly carried on for many generations.
Please join the Owens family on June 1st from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Doris’ life. A service for her will begin at 4:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 6:00 pm. Doris’ family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances, and support throughout the evening.
