Dorothy Ann Sheridan

Dorothy Ann Sheridan (nee Gleason) 81, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in May 1944, Dorothy lived a life centered on family, kindness, and curiosity. She enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her joy—spending time in her garden, reading, working on crossword puzzles, and exploring her family’s history through genealogy research. She will be remembered for her warmth, her sharp wit, and the love she so generously shared.

Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband, Carl Sheridan, and her brother Bill Gleason (Joanne). She was the beloved mother of Valerie Sell (Rich), Carolyn Otis (Dave), Carl Sheridan (Margie), and Joseph Sheridan (Stacy). She was also the proud grandmother of James, Adam, Kyle, Carly, Aubrey, Caitlin, Brianna, Paige, Joseph, MacKenzie, Ramie, Michael, and Sabrina, and the adoring great-grandmother of seven.

Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through each of them, as well as through the many memories she created over her lifetime.

Please join the Sheridan family on Thursday September 18, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Dorothy’s life. A service for her will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by time for refreshments and food, until 9:00pm. Dorothy’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.

She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
