Dr. David Coffey

Dr. David Coffey passed away on June 2nd, 2023. Dear son of the late Ellis D. and Shirley (née Peterson). Loving brother of Kenneth J. Coffey and Susan Carter (née Coffey). Loving Uncle of Jason Truesdale and Sarah Carter and their children.

David had a vast list of incredible accomplishments but remained humble and selfless throughout his life. David was the startup of many charities, and had donated all of his possessions to charity as well as other helpful organizations. He was an accomplished Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as a Sudan Relief Missionary, and The PCOM President from 2013 to 2014. David had strong faith, and was very active in the Catholic Church. His love for helping other was evident throughout the years. He was also a Father Judge and Cardinal Dougherty Math Teacher and Wrestling Coach; who had started the wrestling program in the 1970s, and most recently David was a professor who taught Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Alabama. Perhaps his most important accomplishment was being there for his friends and family, not only was David beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and godfather, he was also a cherished friend to many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to David's Life Celebration on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Cecilia Church, 525 Rhawn Street. Phila., Pa 19111.
