Edward V. Ludwig V. of Croydon, PA passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA by the late Edward Ludwig IV & Stella (Tumasz) Ludwig. He was raised in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia before moving to Croydon with his late wife Elizabeth (Muholland) Ludwig.
Edward & Betsy were married in 1994, enjoying 29 wonderful years together. They enjoyed trips to their family built home in Avalon, NJ and camping at their trailer in Colonial Woods for over 25 years. Their annual trip to Gettysburg was always their favorite getaway.
Edward served our great nation proudly in the United States Coast Guard. He genuinely enjoyed his time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fine fisherman.
Left behind to cherish fond memories are his children, Donna Marie (Steve) Miller, Denise M. (Chris) McKendry, and Danielle M. (Nick) Markee; his step-children, Robert W. (Lisa) Janiszewski, Leann (Travis) Street, Jennifer Janiszewski, Brian M. Janiszewski, Dennis M. (Ashley) Janiszewski, and Matthew E. Janiszewski. He will be missed dearly by his 24 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his loving nephews and nieces, especially Lisa (Daniel) Sindoni, and Michelle (Allan) Jackowicz who he treasured greatly. Edward also leaves behind his sister, Estelle (Walt) Ruchniewski, his brother John (Michele) Ludwig, his cousins and beloved extended family as well as dear friends. Lastly, he will be missed by his sweet canine companion, Hilda, and will meet his late brothers, Lawrence (Charleen) Ludwig and Michael Ludwig in heaven.
Please join the Ludwig family on Friday January 12, 2024 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Ed’s life. A viewing for Ed will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. There will be time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 9:00 pm. His family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the gathering.
