Edward S. "Eddie" Mach

On October 17, 2021 at the age of 84, Eddie finished fighting his last battle and is at peace. He was the treasured husband of 61 years of Lorraine (née Konkolewski). Loving father of Edward Mach (Dawn) and Lori Higman (Dave). Proud Dziadzi of Steven Mach and David Higman, and the late Danny Higman.

Eddie lived a life of service for his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Lake Champlain, for his fellow man as a member of the Philadelphia Fire Department for 31 years, and for his family as its anchor. He also enjoyed his love of Mummery as an alto saxophone player in multiple String Bands. An avid golfer and reader, Eddie enjoyed nothing more than a relaxing time with family and friends.

Family, friends, and fellow firefighters are invited to his viewing on Thursday, October 21st at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 22nd at St. John Cantius Church on the 4400 block of Thompson Street at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
