Edwin T. Frye

Edwin T. Frye, of Philadelphia PA, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2023 at the age of 78.

Edwin was the beloved husband of the late Patrica Frye (nee DiSabato), his first wife and the late Ruthann Frye (nee Orff). Devoted father of the late Edwin Frye Jr, the late Kimberly O'Niell (nee Frye) and his son Michael Frye.

He was the son of the late Leroy & Caroline (nee Tolbert) Frye. Edwin was predeceased by his brothers, the late Robert Frye, the late John Frye and his fraternal twin, the late Howard Frye.

Edwin will be severely missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren along with his nieces and nephews.

Edwin in his younger years enjoyed bowling, and was very good at it. He was also an exceptional artist. But as time went on Eddie found his biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family and his pets. Eddie Frye as most people knew him, was a family man with the biggest heart of gold. If you ever needed help with almost anything from home repairs to car repairs to helping financially, you knew you could call Eddie anytime of the day or night and he was coming to bail you out.

Eddie was a retired maintenance manager along with being an excellent welder, industrial refrigeration and electrical specialist. Eddie was just a Master Jedi at whatever he took on in his career and private life.

Please join the family on Saturday October 7, 2023 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Eddie’s life. A visitation for Eddie will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, with his service beginning at 4:00 pm. There will be time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 6:00 pm. Eddie’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the gathering.
