Elwanda C. Burns

Elwanda Carolyn Burns (Shultz), 88, of Philadelphia, PA passed away suddenly on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Elwanda was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 21, 1936, a daughter of Norman and Elwanda Shulltz. She was an only child raised by her mother, grandmother, and uncle Edward Johnson.

She was the wife of Robert Burns. Loving mother of David Norman Burns (Frances), Julia Elizabeth Henderson Burns and Scott Eugene Burns (Joann).

Elwanda is also survived by three granddaughters, Carolyn Thersea Nino Henderson (Eric Nino), Lisa Marie Henderson (Alec Billheimer), and Kayla Anne Henderson (Dylan Hill). She is survived by two grandsons, Robert and Patrick. She is also survived by several great grandchildren as well, Bryson Nino, Riley Billheimer, Skylar Henderson, Ryder Hill, Damon Nino, Elliot Nino, and Axel Hill. She leaves behind many friends of the family as well.

She loved crocheting blankets and Christmas stockings as well as many other things. She enjoyed reading books, gardening in the warm weather, and had a dying love for her "fur babies".

One of her absolute favorite things to do was bake Christmas cookies, a family tradition. She loved her family more than anything.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
