Florence J. Larcamp of Philadelphia, PA (Wooster, OH) passed away suddenly on October 2, 2021, in her home at the age of 72, leaving her loving life partner Nancy Bleam and many to mourn by family, friends and neighbors.

She was predeceased by her father and mother Fred and Virginia Larcamp (Wooster, OH), brother Charles William Larcamp and sister Donna Willis (Ashland, OH). She is survived by her life partner and caregiver, Nancy Bleam of Philadelphia, niece Linda Bagley of Cypress, TX , nephews John C. Willis (Becky Willis) of Ashland, OH and Jeff Willis (Errin Adams) of Columbus, OH and her cousin Barbie Brown of New Castle, PA. Many great nieces and nephews will miss her too.

Florence was very active in sports and extra-curricular activities. She was an inductee into the Wooster High School All Sports Hall of Fame in 2009 from the Class of 1967as a member of the Girl’s Athletic Association. She loved almost all sports and fared well with them. She eventually went to Temple University to study Insurance & Risk Management and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982

Once she graduated she worked in NYC for Horn & Hardart’s, New Jersey Bank, Philadelphia Housing Authority, and finally landed her dream job at Quaker Chemical in Conshohocken, PA. She was the Global Risk Manager, safety and health of worldwide employees. She purchased insurance for the company worldwide, which included traveling to places worldwide. She was also a representative for Quaker Chemical in Primex, Ltd, an Excess Liability Company with 22 years of service, and was a Chairperson on the Board of Directors from 2011-2014.

In 1995 she became a Charter Member of the Philadelphia Chapter of then EWG an organization for women who wanted to learn and play the game of golf. Florence was active in the organization in such positions as Secretary, Treasurer and President over the years. She loved the game of golf. Teaching and assisting new and existing members gave great joy to her along with playing a round in the leagues and outings. She also developed many leagues for EWGA and LPGA Amateurs in the area and coordinated development Leagues for new golfers. She will be greatly missed by all of the golfers she has touched over the years.

In 2005 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, walked in many of their walks out of Philadelphia in the Race for The Cure. It was a year-long battle of treatments, but she was in remission at the time of her death.

Florence and Nancy loved spending yearly trips for vacation to the Royal Sands Resort in Cancun, Mexico in March. While every one in the States were struggling with snow, she was able to enjoy the warm sun and blue waters.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Susan G. Komen , American Cancer Society or Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
