Francis X. Hagan

Francis (Buddie) X., age 97 of Philadelphia, passed away on January 12, 2022 at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home. Beloved husband for 66 years of the late Mary F. Devoted father of Dennis (Lorraine), Donna Latimer (John), Gary (Barbara), Michael (Kathleen), Mary Frances, and Kevin Adams (Wayne). Francis will be missed by his 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Francis was preceded in death by his siblings James, Justine (Sis) Olkus, William, and Leo. Francis was a World War II veteran in the 9th Infantry Division of the United States Army. Recipient of many honors, including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Francis was an avid Phillies fan, and a hugely successful amateur softball (slingshot) pitcher in many leagues from his late 30's until his mid 60's.

Family and friends are invited to attend the outdoor funeral service with Military Honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 10AM to 10:30AM. Please arrive promptly at 9:35AM at the Administration Building, where you will be directed to the correct car procession line that leaves prior to 10AM to the Pavilion for the funeral service.
