Francis "Fud" O'Brien

Francis (Fud) passed away on Monday, January 19,2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 71yrs young.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of William and Edith O'Brien.

His greatest joy was his loving wife of just shy of 29years, Theresa (Scarborough) and he cherished his five children: Sean, Colin, Connor, Erin and Patrick. He also adored his grandchildren.

He enjoyed going to the Phillies games with his family, but his favorite sport was soccer. He played the sport growing up and continued in his adult years and eventually shared his love for the game with all five of his children. He coached so many young ones through the years and was at one time Soccer Director for the Bridesburg Cougars.

Fud really enjoyed the shore and working on his tan as he listened to his music. He truly enjoyed life and had a smile for everyone.

He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29th at 10am, with a Funeral Mass at 11am at St. John Cantius in Bridesburg, Philadelphia.
