Francis A. Szymendera, 79, of Ridge Valley West Rockhill Township PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2022 surrounded by family.
Born in Philadelphia to parents Anthony and Helen (Hamska) Szymendera. Loving husband of Priss (nee Ochar) and dedicated father to Anjeannette LiCalzi (Anthony), Natalia Barber (Chris), Andrea Hane (Yasu) and Bernadine Boyce. Doting grandfather of 6 grandchildren: Roman Baldwin (Michael, Jr.), Nicholas LiCalzi, Bruno Barber, Rocco Barber, Miki Hane and Koko Hane. Younger brother of Anthony (Connie). Also blessed with nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Frank was a proud graduate of Northeast Catholic High School for Boys and LaSalle College. He also served in the United States Air Force Reserves, was employed by Betz Laboratories of Trevose, PA then Harleysville National Bank of Harleysville, PA.
Never slowing down, he was a member of the West Rockhill Historical Society and Township Planning Commission and the West Rockhill-Sellersville Joint Recreation Authority. Frank was also a long-time member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church and the parishes CYAA, Pre-Cana, Pre-Jordan, a church usher and member of the Finance Committee.
In addition to spending time with his family, he also enjoyed watching and attending all Philadelphia sporting events and working outside on the family’s property and admiring the fruits of his labor. Most importantly Frank loved being included in all his grandchildren’s accomplishments both academically and athletically.
Anyone wishing to attend, a viewing will be held Wednesday, April 13th at 10:00 am followed by his 11:00 am funeral mass at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville PA. 18960. Interment private.
