Frederick Vincent Vesci, Jr.
Fred was born to Fortunato "Fred" Vesci and Mary Columbia Vesci (nee Intintolo) in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia. With him was born a passion for music, food, and family. He graduated from Roxborough High School in 1964 and attended Villanova University for a short time. Fred traveled the world playing music, but most important to him was his family.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents and his "baby sister", Vivian Buck (Fred). He is survived by his sister Mary DeBarberie (Anthony), his children: Daniel (Cherie), Fred III (Renee), Jayne (Anthony) and Vincent; his grandchildren, Anthony, Daniel, Megan, Brendan, Thomas, Charlie, Adele, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Fred was diagnosed with cancer in May 2021. Without hesitation, he decided to fight with everything he had. Unfortunately after almost a year, his "forza" was overcome and he passed away surrounded by family on March 30, 2022.
Family and friends are invited to share in his passion for music, food, and family at Cafe Michelangelo on Sunday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m.
