George P. Peterson

George Pandeli Peterson, 89 years old, passed away at his home in Bensalem, PA. on February 4, 2023.

Born in New York City on January 11, 1934 to Genevieve Peterson (Lambert) and Archie Peterson, he was the third of thirteen children.  George served this country as a Marine from February 10, 1953 through September 17, 1954, continuing in the reserve unit until February 9, 1961.   He was ordained at age 71 on June 11, 2005 as a permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Camden. 

George was predeceased by both of his parents and six of his siblings; Valerie, Donna, Paul, Joseph, Richard and Art.   Survived by six siblings; Sylvia Crist, Basking Ridge, NJ, Michael Peterson, Milton, DE, Virginia Peterson, Manasquan, NJ, Nita Golding, Bensalem, PA, Stephen Peterson, Atco, NJ and Theresa Oriente, Runnemede, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews, too many to count, all of who absolutely adored him. 

George was the Patriarch, the glue, the peacemaker and a man of God with an undying faith and a never ending love for his family. 

George loved baseball, the shore and vacation trips to the Adirondak mountains.   He will be missed every day.

Private interment will be held in May,  followed by a memorial service that may be attended by all who knew and loved him.
