George D. Thomas, Sr.

George D. Thomas Sr. passed away on May 10, 2022 at the age of 85.

 

George was the beloved husband of Joan (née Vickery). Loving father of Margaret (John), the late George Jr. (Donna), Patricia, the late Joseph, Michelle (John). George was dear grandfather of Joni (Keith), Michael (Amanda), Sean, Andrew, Marc, Kevin, and John and great grandfather of five. 

 

George was a longtime Teamster until he retired at age 62. He enjoyed a wonderful retirement and was an avid golfer. George and Joan enjoyed traveling with friends, going on cruises and down the shore. The whole family loved vacationing in the Poconos every summer. 

 

Please join the Thomas family after 6:00 pm on Friday May 20th 2022, at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating George's life. Family sharing will begin at 7:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, until 9:00 pm, where George's family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
