Harvey Lee Weinrebe

Harvey Lee Weinrebe, JD known to all as Lee was born in Boston Mass on October 3, 1947 to Samuel and Selma Weinrebe (nee Kingsbury) and to his sister Barbara.

Loving husband to his life partner of 50 years Ellis Joseph Reeder. He is also survived by first cousins, Barry Kingsbury of Boston, Mass. and Susan Kingsbury of Phoenix. AZ.

Harvey graduated from Temple University School of Law with several dear friends including The Honorable Nelson Diaz.

Harvey had many interests ranging from Philly Sports Teams, owning a one-time popular Philly Jazz Restaurant “Cypress”, to his interest in Real Estate as a Broker, and supporting Museums and charities.

Harvey was diagnosed in 2019 with an incurable and rare autoimmune disease, Inclusion Body Myositis. He suffered and deteriorated from this disease for six years. He died of complications of metastatic cancer.

Donations in memory of Harvey may be made to the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center, The Ryan School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania or to the Louis I. Kahn Memorial Park in Philadelphia.

A private memorial service for Harvey will be scheduled over the next couple of weeks.
