Henry Matthew Golebiewski

Henry Matthew Golebiewski was called home on October 2, 2022 at the age of 94.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Golebiewski.

Henry was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served his country from 1944 to 1946 as a signalman. Henry joined the Philadelphia Police Department and after 28 years of service, he retired as a sergeant.

Henry was the devoted father of Donna (David) Kerwin and Robert “Bo” (Denise) Golebiewski. He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Ann Golebiewski.

He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren: Deborah (John), Holly (Francis), Justine (Douglas), Stephen (Ashley) and Amanda (Conor); his 10 great-grandchildren: Dominic, Francis, Vincent, Finley, Colin, Jocelyn, Madelyn, Quinn, Parker and Sophia and many nieces and nephews.

Henry will always be remembered for his friendly demeanor, his quick wit, his incredible stubbornness and his ability to fix anything. Everyone who met Henry loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial gathering Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA 19454 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to CHOP's Cystic Fibrosis Center.  Interment will be held on a later date.
