Age: 87 of Philadelphia

Passed away on Thursday June 27, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born on February 11, 1932 to Harry Anthony Jordan Sr. and Edna Jordan (Gunderson) in Philadelphia, PA. James is preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother Harry Anthony Jordan Jr.

James was married to the one true love of his life, Nancy Jordan (McNeil), for 64 years. He was the loving father to James, John (Evelyn), Jeffrey (Susan) and Joseph (Anna). He was the cherished grandfather of Michael (Leslie), Jonathan (Theresa), Sara (Brandon), John, Genna (James), Caitlin (Luke), Joey, Crystal, Jeffrey Jr. (Jessica), Jennifer (Sean), Nicole (Robert), Nicole (Joseph), Bridget (Matthew), Sean (Tina) and Danielle. James was also survived by 34 great grandchildren.

James was a Korean War Veteran and served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. After leaving the service James was proud to be an employee of International Harvester. He then moved on to working with his son, Jeffrey at J’s Automotive. James served on the board of directors for the Parkwood Youth Organization. He received the Ring of Honor in 1984 and was honored by a flag hung at the clubhouse. James was an extremely hard worker and instilled great values to his sons and grandchildren.

James will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving father and grandfather. James loved spending time with his family, sharing great stories of the past and always making them laugh with a great joke.

Please join the Jordan family after 6:00 pm Monday, July 8th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating James’ life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 7:15 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 7:30 until 9:30 pm, where James’ wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
