James Malley

James P. Malley passed away suddenly on Sunday December 11th, 2022. Born on December 9th, 1947, he had just turned 75.

Son of Mary Carroll Malley and John P. Malley. Jim is survived by his wife Marilyn Knapp Malley and son David James Malley. Jim was happily married to Marilyn for 47 years.

Jim graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High school before joining the Navy where he served honorably on the USS Enterprise (CVN - 65) for 6 years. Following his enlistment he attended aeronautic school and continued to serve in the Naval Air Reserves, retiring after 21 years of service.

Jim loved to read, fish, summers in Ocean City, going out to eat, spending time with family, friends, and his beloved companion Gabby, his English Bulldog.

The family will be hosting a remembrance ceremony on January 15th, 2023 at All Saints Episcopal Church Torresdale, 9601 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114 at 1:30PM for family and friends. Following the ceremony will be a luncheon served in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers or contributions, Jim's wishes were for everyone to spend quality time with their family.
