James "Jimi" Shawcross

James Michael Shawcross, endearingly known as Jimi, passed away in the twilight hours of April 11th, 2024. 

Proudly hailing from Frankford in Philadelphia, Jimi married Sharon Brophy in 1978 and had two children, Amanda Lauren and Colin James. As well as two grandchildren, Riley (Amanda), Teaghan Rose (Colin) and Cooper.

Jimi was a blue-collar working man that spared no expense on pranks and retelling stories to anyone who would listen. He lived by a motto of “it’s only rock n roll”. 

He was an Animal, music, and movie enthusiast. An avid Philly sports fan, the 76ers were his team. He loved his family deeply and will be sorely missed.
