Janet Berg

Janet Berg, 79, of Warminster, Pennsylvania passed away on July 23, 2022 with her beloved husband, Jack Gallagher, holding her hand after a battle with leptomeningeal disease. 

Janet was born to the late Isabelle and Francis Schmittinger on February 11, 1943 in Philadelphia.

Janet is survived by her husband of 38 years Jack Gallagher, her son Michael (Samantha), one step-son David (Michelle) Gallagher as well as two brothers , Frank (Marianne) and Ron Schmittinger.  She is also survived by her granddaughter, Piper Berg, as well as several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.   She is predeceased by 4 siblings, Bill (Diane), Robert, John, and Carol (Gene) Lugat, as well as one of her closest friends Elaine Schmittinger.

Janet dedicated decades of her life to teaching CCD to future generations of Catholic children at St John Bosco’s in Hatboro.  She loved visiting Piper in New York as well as visiting her brother Bill in Maryland to spend time on the water. 

There will be a graveside service 11:00 am Saturday July 30, 2022 at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
