Janice Lee Schupp

Janice Lee Schupp, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Janice was born on January 18, 1939, in Saltville, Virginia, to William and Leola Necessary. She later made her home in Warminster, Pennsylvania, where she spent many years building a life centered around the people who meant the most to her.

Janice was married to the love of her life, Russell Edward Schupp Jr., for 44 years. Together, they built a family and shared a life filled with both joys and challenges. Russell and their daughter, Robin Lea Schupp, preceded her in death.

Before becoming a devoted stay-at-home mother, Janice worked for the FBI. But her greatest role was always that of a mother and grandmother. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. Janice had a generous heart and a special way of making sure her children and grandchildren were cared for. She loved providing for her family, whether through the big things or the little everyday gestures that showed them just how much they meant to her.

She especially treasured time with her grandchildren. She loved shopping for her family, working crossword puzzles, and, most of all, simply being together. Her family will remember her for her fierce love, generosity, devotion, and the countless ways she put the people she loved before herself.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Dawn “Schupp” Mulligan, and her husband, Mike; their children, Cassidee and Collin; her son, Russell Edward Schupp III, and his wife, Sheena Schupp; and their children, Gabrielle, Camden, Tyler, Torrey, Tucker, and Hayden. She is also survived by Olivia McCloskey and her husband, Sean; Sydney and Ryan; and her great-grandchildren, Sadie and Owen.

She is also survived by her brother, Gary, of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her siblings Judy, Betty, Linda, and Marylyn.

Janice’s greatest legacy is the family she loved so fiercely. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable space in their lives, the love she gave so freely will remain with them forever. She will be remembered in family stories, holiday gatherings, quiet moments, and in all the little ways her family continues to care for one another because of the example she gave them.

She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. All who are attending the cemetery must arrive by 9:45am. A celebration of Janice’s life will follow immediately afterward at Giuseppe’s Pizza Restaurant in Warminster, Pennsylvania, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a woman who loved her family above all else.
