Jean Tannenbaum

Age: 100 of Philadelphia

Jean Tannenbaum passed away on June 1, 2020 in her 101st year. Jean was the daughter of the late Harry and Yetta Befor and the wife of the late Harry Tannenbaum. She is survived by her son David Tannenbaum (Ellen), her daughter Elyse Tannenbaum, her grandson Joel Tannenbaum (Heidi), her granddaughter Lisa Affuso (John) and three great grandsons.

Following her husband’s service in World War II, Jean and Harry raised their children in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. Jean worked as an accounting technician for the United States Navy for nineteen years. Following her retirement in 1984, She worked as a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. She was very devoted to her family, and was able to meet her two day old great grandson on her one hundredth birthday.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
