Joan K. McCalister

Joan K. McCalister passed away May 9, 2022.

Devoted mother to Robert (Cathy), Deborah (Robert) Mark (Bernadine) Brian (Brenda), Richard (Janet), Donald (fiancee Sharon).

Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Donald, and by her siblings William, Jr., Mary and Hazel.

Joan was born and raised in Philadelphia by her parents William and Frances Sifer.  She graduated from Bok High School and went on to a long career at Sears and Roebuck until their closing.

She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Please join the McCalister family after 3:00 pm Saturday, May 14th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Joan’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 4:00 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 4:30 until 5:45 pm, where Joan’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ASPCA in Joan's memory.
