Joan Popielarski

Joan Popielarski, 78, of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022. Fondly known by her family as Granny, she was a caring mother and a doting grandmother. She loved animals and was a supporter of the SPCA.

Her battle with serious medical issues for many years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Granny came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

She is survived by her children; Michael (Nancy), Joy (Bob) and Stephen; grandchildren Johnny, Kelly, Jeanette, Bethann, Melissa and Robby as well as many nieces and nephews.

Joan is now reunited with her parents, Edward and Marion; her loving sisters Catherine and Marion and her cherished grandson Michael.

Please join the Popielarski family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, January 17, 2022 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Joan’s life.
