Joan Darlene Whitworth

Joan Darlene Whitworth (Nee Krause) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 8th, 2021 at the age 82. Joan was born on August 28, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a devoted wife to the late Charles Edward Whitworth, and beloved daughter to the late Adolph Herman Krause and Roseolive Krause.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Pamela Dawn (Whitworth) Worton (Fred Worton), and Clark Edward Whitworth (late Carmella Whitworth), her cherished grandchildren, Manuel Whitworth (Katherine Whitworth), Michelle Urbina (David Urbina), Melissa Whitworth, Zachary Worton, Chandler Worton, and her adored great grandchildren, Nadia, Gabriel, Rylee, Caleb, Nora, and Lucy who is due in March. Joan is also survived by her beloved brother Richard Krause, her nieces Megan, Kalanne, and her nephew Harrison. Joan is preceded in death by her cherished son, the late Stephen Craig Whitworth (Edda Whitworth).

Joan was part of a singing quartet called, The Sweet Adeline’s and performed on a tv show called Country Boy Eddies. She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle solver and she loved going on cruises with her husband Charlie, as well as on trips with her girlfriends. She will always be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend who loved a good laugh, and a glass of wine. Joan will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
