John C. Gallagher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Charles Gallagher, age 73, of Philadelphia, PA, on November 29, 2025.

John was born on July 27, 1952 in Philadelphia to John T Gallagher and Mary E Gallagher (Dillon). He had a passion for fishing, a very eclectic taste in music, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife Barbara J Gallagher (Lee), daughter, Erin M Krause (Gallagher), son-in-law, Kyle Krause, daughter, Colleen Gallagher, grandchildren, Jaime Gallagher and Ryan Krause, sister, Patti Newton, brother-in-law, Thomas Newton, brother, Charles Gallagher, brother, Herbert Gallagher, sister-in-law, Barbara Gallagher and brother-in-laws Patrick Lee, David Lee, sister-in-law Jacquelyn Lee (Philp). 

John was preceded in death by his beloved son Sean W Gallagher, his mother Mary E Gallagher (Dillon), his father John T Gallagher, his mother-in-law Frances M Lee (Behe), father-in-law James F Lee, and brother-in-law James F Lee.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:00am, at Calvary Chapel Church, 13500 Philmont Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19116. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
