John B. Hillman

John B. Hillman

John B. Hillman, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2021 at Pine Run Health Center. He was 97. Born and raised in Derry, PA, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Hillman and was a graduate of Rider University.

He was an original Levittown, PA homeowner where he raised his family and was a charter member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, where he devoted 40 years of service as an usher.

He was a World War II Army combat veteran, seeing action on Saipan and Okinawa, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. He was an industrial engineer for American Bridge (US Steel), Thiokol and Goodall Rubber. He enjoyed travel, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

John is survived by his sons Scott and his wife Beverlee of Dublin, PA; Richard and his wife Bernice of Levittown, PA; Gregory of Indianapolis, IN; and daughters Donna Simon of Mt. Airy, MD; and Diane Hillman and Chris Poh of Upper Black Eddy, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Phyllis (Adams) and their son Mark Hillman. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Patricia (Levitsky). Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will occur Friday, November 19, 2021 at St. Michael’s in Levittown at 9:00 AM, immediately followed by the Mass of Christian Burial to 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
